The Wishing Wall

Wishing Wall Japan800x533

I have been in City Bliss (a coffee bar in downtown Roanoke)  a couple of times before, but it wasn’t until yesterday that I observed their Wishing Wall.  Not knowing anything about it, I asked the young lady behind the counter to explain it to me.

She said that normally the Wishing Walls are outside, but the store owners decided to have one indoors.  The idea behind it is to write one of your wishes on a lock then secure the lock to the wall in order for it to come true.

Attached to the Wishing Wall, I observed wishes and thoughts of love and peace written in Sharpie on the locks.  City Bliss has provided some locks for folks to use–write your  wish, lock it on the wall, then take the key to your lock with you.

What wish, affirmation, hope, or good fortune would you write on your lock?  Will you be attaching it to a Wishing Wall?
