Being creative is so much fun, and it’s how I spend many of my days. Designing cards using photos, of the recipient, personalizes the card and gives it extra meaning for that person. We have a saying in America that ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’ and I was recently reminded of this. Back in November, I sent out our family Christmas card. Instead of doing the traditional newsletter describing the events of the year using the written word, I chose to tell the stories of each family member using photos. Our friends and family members, both far and near, were able to get a glimpse into our lives and see what we did in 2011 rather than read about it.
We are in a digital age, whether we are taking photos or shooting a video with a camera the size of a credit cart, our phone, webcam, or tablet. We are taking photos and making videos like never before. Including them in the cards you send, or watching them come to life on a canvas print allows you, and those around you, to share in the moment you captured! Do you think you’ll remember a loved one’s birthday when you look at your calendar hanging on your wall and see their photo smiling back at you on their special day? Surprise that teenager of yours with a poster-sized photo of his dream car or a photo-book of her sweet 16 birthday party. Why not bring a few of your goals to life, using photos of things you plan to accomplish in the near future, by creating your very own dream board ?
What would you like to express using your photos?
